Yin Flow
A pure Yin practice stresses the whole body’s deep tissues as well as ligaments and joints, stimulating the energy channels. The flow will be a slow transition from one pose into another or a counter pose. This is a kind of more meditative practice, intimate, that brings and connects within.
Yang Flow
Creativity and Tradition merge in a gentle but active flow guided by the breath. Sun Salutation is the starting idea but without fixed sequences: The practice embraces the concept of impermanence and the constant transformative nature of Life itself.
YinYang Flow
A combo of Yin and Yang, inspired by the Chinese Dao philosophy.
Yin refers to stillness, passive or non-active, feminine, and inward. Yang, on the other side, is action, active, masculine, and outward.
Yin poses are held at a certain time without moving nor engaging the muscles but relaxing them as much as possible. This way we reach the connective tissues and fascia which need to be stressed passively to get the best benefit.
Yang poses are proposed in sequences where the breath is the director into the flow that brings from one pose to the other.
Nidra
A deep guided relaxing practice, experiencing just one pose Savasan, the corpse pose or side if pregnant.
The body will be still in supine pose, or on the left side if pregnant, with supports such as pillows or cushions if required. The mind will be present and aware while guided around the body. Focusing on each part to relax them. Reaching the liminal space would bring the person into a deep relaxed state. This practice is not just a deep body relaxation but a neuro system reset, where the whole being is nourished and recharged.
It can be used as a great tool in different moments of life transition, to support, nourish, harmonize, and recharge the body-mind-spirit.
Yoga for Pregnancy (preparing to give birth)
My proposal is not an adaptation of “classic yoga practice”. It’s yoga specifically for pregnancy. No holding positions (asana) or fixed sequencing but more smooth movements which are suggestions and invitations to feel the body and what is suitable in each moment.
